Blasting Cabinet For Small Garages?

I want to pick up a blasting cabinet but I really don't have the room for it. Does anyone make one that breaks down for storage? I would really only use it a few times per year, maybe once per month so it doesn't make sense to take up valuable floor space year-round. Something that could hold a wheel would be nice. Any ideas appreciated!

Not familiar with sand blasting, but can one do it outside without a cabinet?

Anything that breaks down would not easily seal tight enough to prevent dust leaks with blasting. There are some pretty small counter top units, but one big enough to hold a wheel would be pretty good sized.

I have a neighbor with a homemade one, of plywood. TPTools sells plans and components to do this if you don't want to buy one of their very nice cabinets. My neighbor used a sears sand blast gun and hopper. The wood cabinet just funnels it all into the hopper with a canvas seal around it.

I had a home made cabinet in a smaller garage years ago. I hooked it up to a pulley and hauled it up into the rafters when I wasn't using it... The ceiling was finished so I just glued the piece of drywall I cut out of the ceiling to the bottom of the cabinet. Plugged the hole and got the cabinet out of the way. I would drop it down on a couple of sawhorses to use it...

Make one, One large clear plastic bag some pvc pipe or find one of them old basket ball games that use 2in plastic pipe, use this for a frame to hold the bag, pop a hole in it for a vac hose some arm holes, its a one time thing and it will leak so use your PPE but for somthing small not bad.

I made my first blast cabinet out of a large (like 50 gal) Rubbermaid trashcan with a snap on lid. Put some weatherstripping around the edge at the top. The plastic cuts easily, I made armholes with old sweater sleeves to knock the bigger stuff down, and cut a hole in the lid for a clear plastic screen to see thru, and I added a light bulb eventually with a 2 liter pop bottle for a cover. It worked okay, and was disposable. It could (barely) hold a 15" wheel, which was why I made it. IIRC, I had like $25 in it.

I eventually got a larger HF cabinet, and for larger stuff I spread a tarp outside and blast out of a bucket with a siphon gun and a fresh air mask and blasting hood from Northern Tool. You don't want to be breathing the silicon particles into your lungs, bad stuff!
