Blasting Cabinet LEDs

I am refurbishing my Empire S30 sand blast cabinet and it needs lights that are better than a 150 watt bulb in a jar. I found these and think they might work really well...thoughts? https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...pcs-and-led-driver-6300-lumens-dimmable/5002/

How are you planning to protect both the strips and the driver module? Neither are designed for the high dust environment of a blast cabinet. Additionally, without some kind of protection, you will have line voltage on open terminals of the driver....Might be easy to get across them if you don’t have that taken into account.

How many "lights in a jar" does yours have now ? I changed the two bulbs in mine at the shop to LED's and it made a night and day difference. Didnt have to mess with anything special just put in the largest led I could find to replace the two bulbs. More light than I need.

I wouldn't use open LED boards in a blast cabinet. no protection. They are pretty delicate.

Thanks guys.This is why I come here to ask these questions! The cabinet has 1 light now.I think I will get 2 of these LEDs and call it good. https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...etal-halide-equivalent-4000k2700k/4927/11217/ Original light is in back upper right hand corner. I think I will put the second one in the lower front left corner.All line voltage will be outside the cabinet of course.

However, when the cabinet was dry blast, I simply used flood light holders and incadescent bulbs. My thought is that the bulbs will "etch" over time. So best to choose a cheap bulb.

I went with cheap LED bulbs. They're already frosted, so etching won't do anything, and they're plastic, so I don't have to worry about them shattering.

Sounds good. I did this years ago when LED's were still "expensive".
