The post here and subsequent posts started me thinking.......

I like my cabinet but it is kind of small and changing the gloves is an absolute PITA!
From the rabbit hole about Dee Blast I priced a new cabinet from Cyclo Blast. It was a tad bit more than I really need to spend but I saw that the way the gloves are attached seems MUCH easier. Now I'm wondering if it would be easier to adapt Cyclo Blasts glove holders or make something myself.
Another thing is I thought it would be interesting to see others cabinets and what works and doesn't work for them.

Here's a few links for parts for the cabinet I have. Not sure why you need to change gloves so often?

These type just pop into a hole cut in the cabinet. The seamless is a much better glove.

A nice feature is a mylar film roll under the glass that is very easy to replace as needed.

Take a look at the cabinets. I have the 4024 model

Good luck with what ever you do but a good operating blast cabinet is a great tool for the shop!

I blast regularly with two cabinets and cannot remember the last time I had to change out my blasting gloves. I changed out the left glove at work periodically because the operator constantly blasted small parts one by one held cupped in her left hand. In fact Rodeco company in Sanford NC sold single left gloves but only sold right gloves as a right/left pair. No more than quality gloves should have to be changed that would not be a big factor for me. Mine are attached by worm drive hose clamps inside the cabinets. I changed a LOT of left gloves at work over 30 years.

I snapped a pic for you of my large cabinet gloves. In case you are not aware, blasting gloves are sold in various cuff diameters and total lengths, and are a generic item. I use 30” long gloves in this cabinet to reach to where I need. I did not measure but I seem to remember these are 9” cuff diameter. Longer gloves with larger cuffs can sometimes be used by cutting off the gloves at the proper cuff length to get the needed diameter.IMG_3826.jpeg

The gloves that were in my cabinet when it came out of a friends shop after he passed away were rotten from the oils on the hands of the users. I bought gloves and installed them. They lasted a fair amount of time for a one person home shop but one is torn again. There is a ring that the gloves have to go under to pinch them against the housing and getting the rolled cuff of the glove under the ring, clocked correctly and getting it to stay there is a major BIOTCH.

As said above, there is NOTHING like having a blast cabinet in your shop.

I refurbish machines and other items for a hobby, so a blast cabinet is an absolute necessity for me. There is an average size cabinet with glass beads and also a large cabinet with aluminum oxide so as not to need to change out media and to maintain a work process flow.IMG_3827.png
