Blotched my epoxy install. what to do now?

I was laying my epoxy coating and it hardened up too much to finish in approx 20 mins. Now I have two large globs on the floor where we rushed desperately to get it down but it was a disaster. I scraped away much of it as I could before it hardened. I used an Armor poxy kit before but this Legacy kit got thick extremely fast.

So. Half of the garage is ok, the other half is a disaster. I'm thinking of renting a grinder and redoing everything because i'm worried if I get another batch the color will be off.

I don't know where to go from here. Ideas?

Working from a bucket? Solids epoxy needs to be worked from the floor. Scrape it before it hardens completely. You can continue with another kit and add a solid urethane topcoat to make it consistent .

Yes I was working it from the floor, but we probably spent to much time coating the edges and joints by hand with a brush. I can grind half the floor up to the floor joint and just redo that part. Do you guys carry a solid color topcoat to even everything out?

Yes, hd322. Same color choices and a long pot life .

Ok, so I grind off the bad section, and apply the new epoxy. The other section that turned out well, do I need to sand it before applying the HD322 for proper adhesion?

Degloss, solvent wipe and recoat.

Second time this year. First fella mixed the product and went to lunch, you know the rest of the story.

Any 100% solids product should be mixed and worked from the floor.

This will give you all of the pot-life which is more than enough to move the material supplied.

My problem was I mixed 2 cans of "A" and 2 cans of "B" thinking it would take 15 mins to do the whole garage and i'd have no problem. I got half of it done and it got too pasty 1/2 way through. It was very frustrating, I did not think it would start curing so quickly, I was working it from the floor but in between sections I had to get out a brush and do the cracks and the edges, and I lost time there. It wasn't my first go around with epoxy either, I did a 3000 sq ft. shop a couple months ago and never had an issue with it curing to much to use. It must be because I mixed two batches at once.
