Found out yesterday the 'blow gun' part of my inflator must have broken or got lost. It was for a kids play ball so didn't need any kind of precise psi so I just pushed the blow gun into the needle and some of the air made it to the ball. Very scientific, but it worked. I'd like a better solution. I could just buy another inflator but I thought it would be a common thing to have either a way to screw it on to my existing blow gun or a tire chuck. My blow gun is similar to this picture

From what I have read the needle's threads are the same as a Schraeder valve but I can't seem to get my Milton tire inflator to work with this needle. Maybe it's a crappy needle, but it looks like the center part in the chuck covers the hole that gets air to the needle. I know on hand bike pumps there is a plastic thing you flip to 'grab' the needle when you use it to inflate balls. Obviously tire chuck doesn't have that.

So I was thinking the simplest solution was to get an adapter that works on the air gun's external threads to the needle's external threads. Somebody has to make one of those right? Otherwise I guess I'll get another one of those 'stubby' blow guns that's made to use a needle and call it a day.

The HF blow gun kit has the adapter. You could use that for the balls or use it on your better gun. then you can use the readily available needles.
For the few dollars the blow gun costs, it would be as cheap as ordering just the adapter

You're right. That's probably what I will have to do. I was just hoping someone would come and say 'its this thread pitch and that is that thread pitch and here's a link to an adapter that costs $0.40 and everyone knows about it except you'.

I just jam the blowgun tip into the inflation hole and it usually works

Just buy one of these pumps. It even has a pressure gauge on it. I can pump up a ball in less time that it would take to get the needle inflator out an attach it to an air line. I bought one and put it in our shed that holds all of their balls and other outside sports stuff. (I got the shed to keep the balls and bikes out of my garage.)
