Probably a basic tool in anyone with an air compressors tool box...the blow gun. But why, oh why, do they all seem to ****! At least all the ones I end up with do. After a few uses they start sticking or leaking (not from the connector...from the body). Please tell me someone makes a decent blow gun! I generally use it for blowing things off in the garage, but occasionally for inflating balls or inflatable play sets for my son and for whatever comes up. I prefer something that I can change tips on.

Im sure this has been covered, but I cant find it anywhere, so what works well (and lasts).

I have a couple of those guard air ones. They do push a lot of air in a hurry, which is fine if you're just blowing swarf off a machine or something. There are applications where you'll want a fine point too. Or a rubber tip.

Astro pneumatic makes a gun with interchangeable tips.

My guns are so old they don't have safety holes. And they still work fine. I do have a HF multi purpose and its a few years old and works fine still.

Husky came out with some that exploit the venturi effect like this one and its awesome! I can use it to blow out the shop and everything. I run a 20 gal and it dumps all the air out fairly fast.

The snap on and the Matco ones are both pretty good. They are made by different companies in Europe but both provide years and years of service. The snap on is lifetime warranty so realistically a better value.

Milton has been the standard for decades...they do not leak, and they last forever. if you are buying cheap blow guns, yes they ****, but even some good ones **** as they have a safety in them to reduce the flow for OSHA...we always just took them out. the miltons are brass and the safety valve unscrews and easily fits in most trash receptacles.

My HF blow gun is over 20 years old and it works fine. I replace the pivot for the lever with a cotter pin ... about 20 years ago :lol: !

Those would be the High Flow ones, right? I've seen them, they look nice but I'm not sure my 8 gallon compressor would be right for them, seems like they may be more air-hogs suitable for 20 gallon and up compressors.

Ive just bought the facom blow gun, the dam thing is like a work of art.
Only had it a few weeks th thing is pretty awsome

I bought a Milton several months ago after researching. Really nice as far as blowers go and the quality really is noticeable when you use it. Haven't thought about there being a removable part for OSHA compliance. Just assumed there's nothing I can do about it being restricted.

I have one of those Typhoon blowers too but it flows so much air that my California Air Tools 10 gallon compressor can't keep up with it for long.

Small price difference but like I was saying the Matco is only a 1 year warranty snap on gives you lifetime. Both are nice European made guns, they will both last likely a lifetime if you don't drop it everyday

omg this thing is nuts I cant believe how much air it moves compared to my old blow guns. it's literally a night and day difference. looks to be very similar if not identical to the cyclone blow gun. seems well constructed and much better made then the plastic body cheapo type.

I have two of those. I brought a whole gun and accessory kit for $40 off Matco truck

I also have the red Matco posted. But 12" long or something like that

Last I knew air guns are not lifetime warranty. It's considered an air tool, not a hand tool. 1 Year.

I've had a blue point blow gun at home for a few years and it still works great.
At work we have matco blow guns and have never had an issue.
