Sorry, long post...trying to explain thoroughly to help with questions one might have.

I have nearly a wall to wall fitment of BLT G-Floor roll out mats. These were like 20' long by 10' wide. I have two side by side and then another strip about 18" wide to finish out the width of my garage.

It's been probably 8+ years since I've owned them. Throughout this time I've struggled to get them to lay flat and stop shifting. On my side of the garage, I have to back in and turn the front wheels to get in and out so I get some creep there. That was kind of expected. But what I can't stand is how I get sections that lift and create like a speed bump (read tripping hazard) throughout the sheets.

I've tried gluing the sheets down to make them permanent and the glue hasn't held up at all. Was tacky at the time of installation but wasn't strong enough to hold areas that were lifting, even with weights on it immediately after laying down the glue.

I've come to accept it for so long, but it is extremely frustrating and looks horrible. Looking for suggestions on what to do next. The glue doesn't seem to have any hold left as I've been able to lift one sheet up nearly entirely. Pretty sure I could pull them both out if needed. Thinking this summer, I do that and let them lay in the sun to relax them? Will that work for a long term fix, or is it going to lift up in sections again regardless?

I have not seen a polymer based mat yet that remains stable over the long term, even 1/2" thick rubber mats cup and bulge over time as the polymers oxidize and shrink. Were I worked every cart and table top was covered in some kind of mat or uhmw.. They all start warping and need replacement in the 8-10 year mark if lightly used in clean areas, sooner depending on use or other oils/chemicals involved.

It may be time to cut your losses and move on to something else because I don't think your ever going to be happy with it.

Did you use the matching Gfloor adhesive they offer? In our experience (we sell these mats) any time there is 'turning' on them, they will creep and move unless totally glued down. Also over time they can stretch a bit which may be happening here.

You may want to consider replacing the mats with tiles like our solid PVC www.supratile.com, this will avoid the problem.

Sure,
lift them out, set them in the sun, reglue them down with urethane flooring adhesive. Just don’t ever set or roll anything on them and the will look perfect for years!
