Couple years ago I got in on the garden hose testing, the hose works great but is easily kinkable. I use it to feed the pressure washer and wanted a nice 25' hose, no complaints.

Is this a hose similar to Parker push lok hose? I've never seen it from blubird.

Sorry, but if BluBird wants to advertise their stuff here on the forum, they need to 1) become an alliance member and 2) respond to previous giveaways/testing offers/inquiries/etc.

so blubird is at it again, 5 months ago they asked for beta testers on field repairable hose, and from what I gather, no one has received theirs & there's been zero communication...
and they have the nerve to ask for more testers
good luck folks.

Only contact has been when I contacted them. They claimed they were waiting for info last time. No contact since. I certainly wouldn't buy a product from them. I know I'm not guaranteed anything but if a company claims something I expect them to stand up to their word which they haven't.

I responded early, and by next day got an email stating they would send me a hose for testing. Then an email with a shipping number. Hose arrived with Customs docs from India 3 days ahead of schedule.

It is light and pretty flexy.
Initial impression was a very strong chem smell. A couple days in the back of my truck and that's faded out. No air at the jobsite Ive been working, so I cant say much else yet.

That's lucky. Wonder why you were singled out. I would try one of these instead of the field repairable one if that's all they all. Either one would be cool.

I recieved the 2 air hoses for beta testing and just hooked up the oil guard air hose on my home compressor.
The only bad I can say is it kinks and twists very easy I hooked it up straight into my regulator and it twisted up so bad I had to unravel the whole hose to get it straight. I now hooked it up with a quick connect. It is a very high quality hose its very light weight and coils and straightens great.

I would recommend this product any day it's so much nicer than my Parker USA hoses so far so good with it I will update after more use later. I will be taking the other hose to the truck shop my first impressions of it is it seems of equal high quality to the oil guard hose and the accessories are very nice love the USA made gladhand connector to hook it up to the big rigs air line and it's nice that it comes in a case for easy grab and go. I will also bring the oil guard to the truck shop to get more opinions from the other guys I'm sure they will find them better than the good year hoses that are supplied.

I would love to see how they compare to the flexzilla air hoses speaking of which is what I was going to buy.
I wish you guys offered a green hose but yellow and blue is fine.Right now the hose is hooked up to my craftsman pro 25 gallon at 150psi and it's working great I like the collars to help from linking by the fittings it's something my other hoses didn't have. I would love to try out the water hose as my wife does alot of gardening and I wash the car alot and I'm tired of dealing with our heavy black hose. Thanks for letting me help with beta testing and sending the other hose like I said will provide more feedback as soon as I can from others not just myself.

off topic but any word on the previous test asking for people to try out your field repairable hoses?
no one seems to have got theirs?

I'm so sorry about this. I now see there has been some confusion about the samples from the Fast Fix beta program. Some mails we didn't receive or some went unnoticed. One reason we push to keep a consistent Subject to not let this happen.

Let us make up to you. And send us an email with the subject Fast Fix - ShouldHaveBeen Beta Tester and we will send you what you deserve which is more than just that beta sample.

I'm being honest here, there was some miscommunication or confusion and I'm sorry for that.

Got an email today from rish and some company guy in India. They said the right things to make a customer happy hopefully it will be resolved in a couple days.

Just wanted to update this. Blubird followed through and I got the package yesterday. Seems like a really nice product. I really like the swivel fitting. I wish it was 3/8” so I could use it in the garage but the 1/4” is good for the job site work.

I recieved the product from them to beta test it got here within a week. So far going strong love that they coil easily they had the chemical smell as another noted but it fades they do link easy but it's a smallprice to pay for light weightof which they are. Was interested in the flexzilla then they sent me theirs couldn't be happier and they are already seeing heavy usage and going strong wish they offered other colors is all I can add.

Thank you, all, for the feedback.

I will look forward to some long-term use feedback too, good or bad.

We are looking into the 'twisting' of the hose. It is a problem kind of inherent to the hose product, but we are trying to improve on the standard here.

And as far as Fast-Fix testers are concerned, just checking if we're on track now. If there's anyone whose mail hasn't been responded to, please let us know.

And for more about our products and their demos, you can visit our YT channel:

Thank you, again.

Haha, so our color policy is either it should be the market standard (like Yellow for Oil-Resistant hoses) and if there's no strict standard, we make it Blue (because it is BluBird :p).

But let's see if we have specials where we offer more colors.
Glad you like the hose.

We're already in talks with you on mail about the fitting options, let's see.

So this hose in particular is not a push-lock / field-repairable hose. But we do offer the Fast-Fix. Both as a hose+fitting package and the fittings separately too. Those fittings can make any hose, including this one, a field-repairable hose.

Check out this video:

Hope this helps!

Received my hose last week only complaint so far is its a 1/4" hose which has limited uses for me. This is the feild repairable version not oilsheild product. Overall seems alot more flexible then the red rubber good year hoses. Gets enough air threw for my aircat 1150th to function on lugnuts I doubt it would run my ir titanium though. I'm going to pass this hose along to my buddy who does renovations to get some proper feedback

Thanks to the guys at bluebird for getting the hose out to me though if you still need someone to test the oilsheild hose in 3/8" or 1/2" diameter I'd be more then happy to try one out
