Should have mine Friday or Monday. Don't really have a car to try it on yet but still. When did I ever need a good reason to buy a new tool. I also have a few cal-van tools under various names.

Looking forward to the review. I'm also one that it doesn't take much to convince me I "need" a new tool. But for some reason this one just isn't popping at me. Not really sure why it's not, it's not crazy expensive for what it is and it has a purpose. Maybe your review will change my mind!

What's the difference between the CV75 & CV76 relay circuit testers you sell?

The 76 is the update to the 75, with improved circuitry so that it can be used on 24v systems as well. With user feedback, we beefed up the circuitry and changed the switches from momentary to toggle. The tool is used to test the complete circuit. Shows power or ground from battery to relay, relay to switch or ignition, and relay to component. Using the switch a user can power the circuit to test the component. It also can be used as a breakout box, with multimeter. Techs can also use it to perform tasks like finding TDC, combustion tests, run a/c compressor for fill, etc. Instead of having another tech in the car flipping switches or turning the key it can be done by one tech at the engine fuse/relay compartment. It is by no means a perfect tool and Lisle, ES, and IPA make some good relay related tools as well.

How did this tool work out? Does it making running through the fuse box easier enough to accept the cost or should I continue to do it the way I have been for years?

It's funny you bumped this today. I was just able to meet up with my snap On guy finally today. Picked it up this morning. I have a car to use it on tomorrow so i will report back The results. I tried a few fuses in my own car today and it seems to work great. Just not really any help if there is no issues LOL.

I'm not sure I would use it enough to justify it over using my meter. But I do like electrical tools and it was only a snap on exclusive until this past March so maybe someone else will start selling it also and the price will be a little cheaper.
