Blue Point BG333E came up for sale here locally. Couldn’t find any data on this model specifically so I figured I’d ask here. It is strikingly similar to the Dayton I just picked up but the Blue Point is only 1/3 hp. The person wants $80, what do yall think?

I don’t think I’d get rid of the Dayton being its 3/4 hp but I do like to restore vintage tools.

Agreed, made by Doerr Electric, but not all Blue Point were. Some were made by Wissotta such as my 3/4hp version that is set up for buffing.

I plan on setting up my Dayton as a buffer as well. Did you just buy one of these spindles and call it a day?
