Hi,i am trying to find a 1/2 -24 left hand thread nut, for an old blue point bench grinder that i have.I think the threads are whitworth because my friend checked the shaft threads with a whitworth gauge, that is marked 24 g 316.I have searched on google and could not find that size nut anywhere. If someone has an extra one, or knows where i could find one, that would really help me out.Thank You

I think some of the older blue points were made by wissota. They have quit making grinders, but I think they still sell parts. And IIRC there are some individuals selling parts for the wissota grinders. Google Wissota grinders, maybe you can find them. I would think the nut you're looking for would be pretty common among bench grinder makers.

Good Luck.
