Not a big fan, if I was going to buy taiwan ratchets it would be the Gearwrench 60 tooth ones and upgrade them to 88 teeth. :)

I have one from a pawn shop score of a BLPGSSC100 set. My work shop is separate from my garage so I keep the set out there. The Ratchet is nice and well made. This same ratchet is now also sold under the Williams name for much cheaper.

I have fixed a bunch, but it is for a shop on fort hood and they let the army guys work on their cars there for practically free. So you know how it is not your tools why should you care.
But the other guys that have bought them have not had any problems....

Overseas products are getting better and better every year. They're starting to realize that they can make good products, and get paid more for them.

As mentioned above though, there are alternatives in that price range that I probably would pick instead.

there was just 2 USA Williams ratchets (1/2, 3/8) listed on ebay for $40 shipped so you can find deals on decent ratchets. That being said I also have the williams version of the blue point ratchets for my truck tool box and they are great for the price from harry epstein's.

ebay or pawn shop is the way to go, you can find snap on there for less than a new blue point ratchet,

as far as quality, i have a gearwrench 3/8 ratchet that is almost identical to my snap on 3/8 F80 ratchet and ive "tested" it out with a 4 foot cheater bar on a frozen crossmember bolt and it didnt strip the gears, unlike my crapsman ratchets which would break just by looking at them

so the gearwrench seems to be decent quality to me but only time will really tell
