Got this from a buddy. It's a poor mans hand me down machine. He had it used it. I have the manual. It says to push in on the tip (spring loaded) of the torch and it will ignite. I had to adjust the air pressure with the trigger open till it finally kicked on (audibly). It sparked when I touched the well cleaned steel surface attached to the ground clamp. But it would just shoot a few sparks out and really do nothing beyond that.
After about a dozen or so attempts the audible noise from the machine stopped. No noise. Nothing. Air still releases with the press of the button. No spark at all when pressing the tip on the steel. Not quite sure what happened. I tried multiple replacement tips.
Does anyone have experience with what faults these machines typically have? I haven't went through the circuitry or tested continuity in the wiring yet. It's almost as if there was a lack of current or grounding to create an ignition that caused something to fail.
