Blue Point Tool boxes

Hi,

Did a search to find out some info but was unable to locate it. Has anybody got/ been using the bluepoint krb2055 topchest or the krb2006 roll cab. Does anybody know the drawer capacity?

I need some more storage space but can't afford the snap on boxes and was wary of the craftsman stuff as I noticed they had a lot smaller drawer capacity (in lbs) than the snapon.

Could anyone give their opinion on these bluepoint boxes or should I be looking for something else?

thanks

Kyle

if you are willing to spend a little bit more, look at the krsc46. probably close to double the space, just be good at organizing as there are less but deeper drawers.

about 10 yrs ago, I had a blue point side cabinet with roughly 6-7 drawers. It was decent quality...better than Craftsman in my opinion. i never had any issues with it.

I have one Blue Point roll-away. It supports my KRA4114, and is the BP 'equivalent' to the KRA4107.
Even has the same bolt pattern for bolting the top chest to the bottom as the Snap-On

It's a decent box, superior, I would say, to the similar sized Craftsman, etc.
Interestingly, when I needed several slides (previous owner abuse) I replaced them with new slides for a 4107 (or 4114) and the Snap-On brand slides were defiantly superior grade.
Still, a decent tool box and I use it often.

It's the red one in the very corner.
The Snap-On under the bench is a KIQ series and is very similar

to the Blue Point.

He switched the drawers around a bit, but it's a blue point. 2000-2001 vintage I would say. It's a good size box, 54" by 24". In tech school, there was one for the teacher toolbox. Seemed pretty good, but then again I never saw the teacher do anything so I doubt it got much use.
