$15 per tray? Twice as much at least as any other import tray but pretty colors? I have plenty of expensive specialty tools just in case but this seems like a silly extravagance.

I have this Cornwell branded version. The magnets are rubber coated and extremely strong. I don't know why anyone would want plastic.

I have the cheap harbor freight ones, and a coworker has the these same blue point branded ones. In my option the magnets on the harbor freight ones are a lot weaker. If you put the hf ones on a vertical surface it tends to drop hardware.

I agree, the truck price is too much. Have few of the SS trays already.

Hoping someone has another source for the 5 color trays, nice way to stay organized.

I like those plastic trays myself. My current independent dealer/former SO dealer looked for OEM on those and came up dry. I'll get him to check again.

The plastic is nice for working around paint jobs. Less likely to chip or mar nice surfaces if you bump them.

i had a plastic tray once. i dropped it and it cracked in the corner. it also didn't like chemicals. i doubt if i got a few months out of it.

of course if they sell you a five pack you may get a year out of them.

if you are worried about scratches, you are far more likely to scratch something with metal bits stuck on the magnet than the tray itself. if you are worried about the tray scratching something, split some rubber hose down the side and slip it over the tray lip.

I have the Blue-Point version , they work great. The only problem, the magnet is very strong and tiny parts will sometimes move to a different position . I sometimes like to lay stuff out exactly the way it came apart and don't want something flipped upside down.

I have the half shell ones sold under the Hazet brand. I prefer them over the open trays. The truck brands have since added them as well.

I use muffin pans for what you just said - laying stuff out chronologically that way it came off.

Nah, the min load capacity of the elephant. Smaller ones have to make more trips which can make the delivery fees go through the roof.

I don't think it's the min load capacity, as they get used as draft and lifting animals in some countries - it's the minimal swim distance. It takes that many to swim the cargo from China.
