I am looking at a couple different Combination Ratcheting Box/Open End Wrenches(Flex-Head). I buy US made tools almost exclusively...I am going to have to bite the bullet on this one and get something from overseas...I think I have narrowed it down between Gear Wrench & Blue Point...Any experience with these sets? Likes/dislikes? THANKS FOR THE HELP!

I have used both and have seen no issues with either. Both are high quality imported tools which get the job done. Blue point has snappy truck warranty ease, so that is nice. I do not think you will regret your purchase of either.

Gear wrench is usually cheaper and same to better quality. Have both and have many others as well. No real preference for me. Buy what tickles your fancy.

I have gearwrench they are very nice and also very affordable due to being able to find them for 50 percent off all the time. Either would work but I would imagine the blue points to be almost double or triple the price.

I have both, and the difference is not worth noting. I only wish the ratcheting box ends would have been around while my dad was. He would have loved them. He was a lifelong mechanic. Ken.

I have both both brands. Bluepoint has a thinner beam (at least the set I have) which is good and bad. I prefer the bluepoints, but can't say anything negative about the gearwrench. I can do a side by side pic tomm if there is a need to see them next to each other.

I have the entire set of Gear Wrench, and only one individual Blue Point. I haven't noticed any difference in performance. I do enjoy my Gear Wrench set though.

I've got a standard set in gearwrench and metric in blue-point.(not flex head, I hate wiggly wrenches) quality seems about same. They both seem to lock up if you over torque em though.

Seems Blue Point stuff holds it's value in Ebay much better.......it's the whole division of "Snap On" thing.

Every time I price out gearwrench on eBay, I find it cheaper new at Advance Auto. I guess each situation is different.

I would go Blue Point for slightly better resale.......if that matters.

When you factor in initial purchase price to what resale value would be you come out better with the gearwrench even though resale value would be lower than blue point. Example 50% of 50 is less of a loss than 50% of 100.

I've both Taiwan and Chinese gearwrench, the Taiwan have better fit/finish in my opinion.
