Look into Williams Taiwan made wrenches. Same thing as Blue Point but at a much better price. Look at toolsdeliverd.com. if you are buying off the truck they ate decent wrenches but not worth the tool truck $ IMHO.

The older USA made ones are great. They're Snap On wrenches without all the high polish chrome.
The newer ones.....pass. You can get a lot better for the money.

I grabbed a brand new metric 8-19 set of ebay in Decenmber for under $50. They are the nicest asian import wrenches I have used (they are Chinese). They fit well and have close to the same physical dimensions as Snap-On wrenches. The open ends don't feel like they spread. The set comes with a very nice, Snap On style tray, if that matters to you. I think they are overpriced for import tools. Caryle wrenches are a better bang for the buck, but if you have a Snappy truck to do warranty on, that helps.

My Snap-on guy has the blue point wrenches on BOGO, the August flyer. Not all drivers participate or have access to all the promotions. If you buy from the truck these deals are the best way to go.

I don't know why people keep saying those taiwan williams are the same as blue point. They aren't even from the same country strangely enough the chinese made blue point are decent and the taiwan made williams are total garbage

Mine said product of china on the cardboard package. I don't have a picture to prove up, but have no reason to make it up. I wish they were made in Taiwan.

I have no reason to doubt you and certainly don't care where they are made. I just tossed up a screen shot from the Snap-On site. It certainly wouldn't be the first time a major company had an outdated web site!

Then again, according to the Chinese government, Taiwan is part of China so...:dunno:

Many Blue Point tools are the same as the Williams imported line, as previously mentioned. When you compare many of the tools side-by-side it's obvious they're the same.

I've never before heard someone claim that the Williams and Blue Point wrenches aren't the same anymore. If they've updated the Blue Point version, I'd be interested in seeing some pics.

The Blue Point and Williams sure look pretty similar in these pics taken from the Snap-on and SOIB website:

Omg guys. Bluepoint is just like sears/craftsman. It's all bluepoint badging on other oem produced iteams. That's all it is. Same for williams, it's a SO clone/taiwan made version. Nothing bad about them

But op, there good wrenches. Better than cman rp's, but not as good as SO's normal line.
