BluePoint Cart #KRBC7TB

Hey all,
I just took ownership of a BluePoint KRBC7TB 4 drawer cart with folding side shelf. Got it in trade from my scrap guy. Overall it is in good shape but the lid struts are missing and I would like to get a key or replace the lock for the top lid so it can go to work with me. However I just got off the phone with Snap-On and the lid struts and lock are discontinued. Anybody got one of these carts that you may have found some aftermarket struts for?

Look online for automotive rear hatch struts. I had the same issue with one of mine, and replaced the pair with them. Snap-On pulled the same thing on me before, I had a Snap-On guy talk me in to getting one of the tool carts as it was in his own words “ a heck of a deal, and whenever I want to upgrade let him know, and we can trade it across for a new box”. Well not only did that model discontinue 4 months after I bought it, but he also didn’t want to trade it back for anything new, and there wasn’t a scratch or ding, or even dirt on this thing.
