The Bluepoint Pliers are much better than the Gearwrench plier as the Gearwrench plier is a copy of the Bluepoint plier and there is a lawsuit pending now.The Bluepoint works much better in a confined deep space as the jaws move more relative to the less movement of the handles. Gearwrench changed their plier so as to say they are not infringing on the U.S.patent they are copying, the change was not for the better.
The SK Plier is the same as the Bluepoint as the original manufacturer sold them to SK too. Both are better than the Gearwrench.

I have a pair of compound joint sidecutter that were made long before Gearwrench was around or Blue-Point made them. Mine are old medical tools for cutting ribs, so neither Gearwrench nor Blue-point are original.

Secondly, what the hell is your post about? Harbouring some hard feelings towards Gearwrench?

I'll say - 4 posts, and 3 of them mentioning GearWrench, two of them in threads with nothing about GearWrench.

I'm guessing that you're referring to the double X style long plier? I am confused as to what your point is. Is this like which came first the chicken or the egg? Do you want us to stop buying Gearwrench and and buy the Blue Point pliers?:headscrat:wtf:

Try the Bluepoint and the Gearwrench to compare. The Bluepoint Jaws to handle movement is better.SK Tools sells a 9.5" version for area's too short for the 13" version.
