Bluepoint long bent wrench

Got this wrench awhile back and haven't been able to find any info on it. Wondering if anybody here knows anything.

Found 14" single end wrenches by bluepoint but they're only in larger sizes and this wrench is longer and has a bent handle. Also think I had found some similar wrenches before for working on drum brakes but couldn't retrace my steps to find it again.

Bluepoint Supreme 3/8 wrench, brazing is just splatter and the handle appears to be all original (not a home cooked modification). Also have a partial part #, looks to be S-101(legible segment).

It is a single end tappet wrench, bent to facilitate use by the owner.

Not everything Snap-On made went into the catalogues. Snapmom sent me a brochure a while back, I think from the 1940s, that had a lot of uncataloged tools in it, but even that doesn’t cover all. Also, I know mine is an odd size, not in the book, I think 21/32 but would have to check. Hope that helps!

What size is yours?

This one is a 3/8.

The other thing that got me thinking it wasn't just a bent tappet was the partial model #, looks like it might be S-101(potentially another number) which doesn't line up with the XL- followed by 3 numbers the tappet line follows.

Also haven't been able to find a tappet with the raised panel portion of the handle yet. Only seen the basic flat so far.

So I looked the wrench over again messing with the light and I think I made out the whole model #. Looks to be S-1012. Now half of that would be accurate, it's the model # for a 3/8-5/16 DOE.

I'll get better pics of the transition on the handle but I still think it's not been chopped up and fused together so maybe it's a custom order.

Interesting. I have a wrench made for accessing the bottom of a Buick fuel filter from about 1940 or so. The number on the head is T-*** ( I’d have to look), but it is obviously a tappet wrench with a thick head that Blue Point bent to make a special wrench. Yours may have a similar history.

Here is the one I was telling you about. Original number on the head is LT20, a long tappet wrench 5/8” opening size. Stamped in the handle is S-9826, the number for a Buick fuel line wrench. It only appears, I believe, for one year, in 1940. The head has not been thinned down to accommodate tappet adjusters.

Here's the transition on my wrench. I think it'd make the most sense being a special purpose wrench made using the S-1012 dies for convenience but I had someone say they thought it was welded on the transition today (they like to argue so probably more so trying to start an argument).

I think not welded, due to the uniformity of the bevel and that it extends the length of the wrench. I think it is a one-off, perhaps.

I have no stake in this, obviously, so take this as just my $.02, FWIW, etc, but I find myself wondering if it was factory, why wouldn't Blue-Point forge it with the raised panel running the entire length of the shank, like extra long Supreme SOE wrenches, and then bend it?
I haven't been able to find any raised panel SOEs, only flat handles, to look at but my thought would be a limited item(for a factory or some odd model vehicle) leading to it being made as cheap as possible.

Potentially reutilizing/modifying a die set(potentially outdated) on hand instead of making a new die. The stamping is the smushed print which I've only seen on one DOE wrench and the same model newer wrenches were more standard (some look a bit odd still) so it'd be possible they had new dies for the DOE too.
