Hey guys, I'm look at some Blue point ratcheting wrenches. Does any body have a set, any experience with them, or know if they are a re-badge? I need a new set and wanted some opinions. I am not set on the Blue points and are up for suggestions. I'm looking at getting the 8-19 millimeter and the 21-24 millimeter sets. Thanks.

I have some blue point reversible flex heads that in retrospect I paid to much for, I'm not sure who the OEM is for them but I would suggest getting gear wrenches instead since they are cheaper and just as nice In my opinion.

When it comes to ratcheting wrenches, there's only one choice: GearWrench.

Everything else is a knock-off of varying quality, but nobody has been able to show that any of them are actually BETTER, just more expensive.

I thought they seemed exactly like the few GW brand ratching wrenches I have left. Thanks guys, it seems there is really are no better than GW in this aspect.

I have the Bluepoint ratcheting wrenches, I'm reasonably sure they're rebadged Gear Wrench

There are not the same as GW, but your better off with any set GW makes. I have both metric and SAE sets. Got them for free, With the purchase of the SO flank drives, metric and SAE sets. Paid alot for the SO's but, i have no regrets, I use them everyday so i think i got my moneys worth already, and then some.

They are exactly the same as the Williams branded ones.

the blue points have finer teeth compared to the gear wrenches.

You sure about that?

Snap-On's website advertises a 5° gear engagement for the Blue-Point wrenches, which is exactly what GearWrench advertises for their wrenches.

I'm not knocking the Blue-Point stuff, but when it comes to ratcheting wrenches, there is no reason, other than the desire to throw money away, to buy Blue-Point over GearWrench.
