This probably is not the right spot for speakers however it continually amazes me how much knowledge is out here. Does anyone know of, or has purchased Bluetooth wireless speakers in the ceiling (suspended). I currently have wired speakers however I want to clear up my old receiver and such and just use my Ipod. Thanks for your help.

No experience with ceiling speakers, but I did buy my ladyfriend a Jawbone Jambox for Christmas.. She loves it!! I like that you can take it with you anywhere.

i have a samsung sound bar that has bluetooth that sounds pretty good. it would be on the wall instead of the ceiling though for you. not sure how set you are on one or the other
What about buying an amplified Sonos, use your existing ceiling speakers and your ipod (or any smartphone or computer with the Sonos app) to control it? Assuming you have internet access in this location, being able to stream local radio stations, talk shows, music services like pandora or spotify and being able to play your local music provides a lot of flexibility. With that said, Sonos isn't cheap but I find that I now very rarely listen to my own music with the internet music services out there. Just a thought. I also agree that the Jawbone Jambox is a nice product.
