Can anyone enlighten me on what's best. I've looked and there's too many choices. My local Verizon has a lot to look at but I figured someone out there has put them to the test. I've looked at the flip, charge, jawbone , and Bose. I'm really looking for something I can take in the car, golf cart, or camping.

Are you asking about a BT speaker only?

I use 2 different ones (depending on the situation).

I have "Beats Pill" for the backpack/ultra portability situations. Not cheap, sound quality is great, battery life is ok.

For stationary situations (camping, working around the house/barn/yard) I have a large system called the "Job Rocker". This sucker is heavy (huge battery), but cranks! Sound quality is good, it is cranking loud, has a built in AM/FM tuner, battery lasts VERY long (I've gotten 4-5 day camping trips out of it on one charge). On op of it being battery powered, it is a 110v distribution outlet when plugged in! It is a great one stop shop unit for all kinds of uses, its just not that easy to carry around....so use accordingly.

Google either of those options and you'll find all the info you need.

Good luck.

I use a G-Boom wireless boombox. Good size, very rugged and sounds very good. Best buy and Walmart sell it. About 100 bucks

I got the Bose from Verizon. I like it a lot. Good volume, last awhile and will stop if you get a call. Also you control the volume from the speaker or the phone. My only issue is the battery doesn't stay charged when not in use. This might be OE. I probably didn't turn the spaker off correctly so the Bluetooth was probably still seeking a device to connect to.

I have an Ecoxgear that i picked up at Costco last year. @75 bucks or so. Works really well and boasts a 10hr batt life. It can also be plugged in. Waterproof and shockproof too!
Rocks my garage pretty well. I recommend it.

I use a JBL Charge I got for Christmas almost 2 years ago now. It's great, and surprisingly loud for how small it is. I have a buddy with a Jambox, though, and that thing is incredible. It outperforms some of the sound system setups (2 speaker) that we have, and generally just rocks. If I were to buy one, I suppose it would be the Jambox. I'm sure it's more expensive, but I like my music and you will not be limited by that one in any way..

How big can you go? I have the Harmon Kardon Onyx Studio and it puts most bluetooth speakers to shame. Deep base (for a bluetooth device), and clear sound even at max volume. I bought mine used on ebay for $120 shipped. The only negative is no line-in so it's bluetooth only. Beats and Bose speakers sound flat/dull next to this.

I got a jambox mini, great for places you want to listen but not hassle the neighbors. It also disappears in a backpack. I also have a bose, much bigger/better sound, but not easily pocketable.

Also, the jambox will do phone calls, which the bose doesn't, and the jambox is cheaper, so I don't mind poking the buttons with grubby fingers.

Ive seen quite a few now, young people friends and all.

For a small super portable, JBL makes great stuff and the Charge 2 offers good sound and charging capabilities.

www.jbl.com

For a BFS you should really consider the ION Block Rocker. Super loud, BT, wheels, charging, and 50+ hrs of music. (ive gotten at least 20+)

www.ionaudio.com or both at www.amazon.com

I have the Harmon kardon at home and it sounds better than my Bose at work.

The Bose fits in the lid of my tool cart nicely though and is perfect for work outside of the parasitic drain someone mentioned earlier.
