As with any pre-medieval pursuit, metalworking seems to have a strange language of its own. I think all I need is the correct term for what I want, and Google and I can take it from there.
Anyway, what I'd like to find is a blunt chisel, or a set of them.
Imagine a large cold chisel with a rounded nose (like maybe a 1/4" radius) instead of a sharp edge. Yes, you could whomp up something close to this in a few minutes with a spare chisel and a grinding wheel.
I want a nice new one. Something I can place exactly where I want it and then whack with a hammer.
What's it called?
