Hello all garage junkies.

I suppose after a week of lurking it is probably good to introduce myself here. I am in the final stages of buying my first home (well townhouse) here in Maryland and I intend on making the two car garage into my car maintenance taj-mahal.

I have been really inspired by a lot of the builds that I see on here and I hope to do some small scale stuff soon (flooring, storage, general sorting of the new garage).

I am most inspired by the 12-gauge garage. That is simply awesome and I am looking for ways to get the parts I want cheaply, so I can make my garage into the place where me and my friends hang out and work on our cars.

Thanks for making this forum a great place to discuss garages and garage life ans hopefully soon I'll actually be able to offer a hand to others, although as a computer programmer I am hardly qualified to offer any kind of advice on construction or design... we'll see.:rocker:

Welcome from a fellow MD guy. Where are you at? I'm in Howard County myself.

What kind of BMW's do you work on. I had to sell my e46 when we found out we were having twins. Then I had an e30 for a while as a project car.

My buddy has a 2002 and a Dinan e28 that makes me lust for an M5.

Maybe next year...

Be careful around here - if you're not addicted to tools - you will be soon!!

Welcome from central VA!

I've never had BMW cars, but do have a BMW R-80 bike with around 150K miles on it - talk about running forever, LOL...
