The BMW Z3 1996-2002 were all made in South Carolina.
The Z3s are wonderfully simple and fun cars to own and maintain.
I always get a kick out of ordering replacement parts and waiting 2 weeks to get them shipped from Germany only to find a big sticker on the box proclaiming "MADE IN THE U.S.A."
I think its the best BMW, period. I have three though, so I am a bit biased.
