So funny you post this today - Just watched that movie last night for the first time in 20 or so years!
Mark, it's one of those movies that really stick with you. Then again so do most stories from the truly dark mind of Stephen King!
Bob, I knew you'd have my back. Thanks for the chuckle.
Kirk, I get that vibe from your posts!
That made my leg hurt!
Jim, my knee reminded me of the scene.
That movie reminds me too much of my ex wife.
Uncle Willie, I say nothing....:see:

I've never seen that movie SPECIFICALLY because I know it has that scene and I don't want to "feel" the pain of it!
Dan, once was enough for me. I didn't see any trailers or previews so the scene came as an unpleasant and very memorable surprise. Looking for the scene yesterday didn't improve my tolerance.

Made a run to CVS and Trader Joe's. Tomorrow is our anniversary so our son and his wife are taking us, most of their children and our daughter and her husband to dinner this evening. A couple of great-grand-kids and grand-kids' significant others will make for around 18 at the table. We chose a buffet near our house so they know how much it will cost. Seems like a lot of restaurants sell everything a la carte and I have a hard time paying $8 for a potato.

Went to Trader Joe's for a little anniversary gift. Liane asked for a pair of pearl earrings even though I suggested diamonds. It's our 60th anniversary so instead of the traditional diamonds, I bought five dozen roses. Trader Joe's jacked up the price of roses but $9.99 a dozen is still a bargain in my book.

Yeah Bob, me too, congratulations, that's quite an accomplishment. if my first wife were still alive, we would have been married 55 years, can't believe it has been 10 years since she passed...

Your thread might be the quickest moving (most popular) of the 4000+ ones I’m sub’d to and sadly I’m a couple hundred posts behind at the minute. That said I just saw you are celebrating 60 years of marriage which is AMAZING.

Hope you had a great dinner and I agree that $8 for a potato or $20 for a drink isn’t in my wheelhouse either.

heres to many more cause you seem to always be MOVIN and I think that’s key to a long healthy life.

Have a great day!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Liane and Bob (god forbid I list you first Bob) :ROFLMAO:
Mark, thank you but no worries with Liane. Native Americans were once afraid of cameras stealing their souls; Liane is afraid computers and phones are stealing everything and avoids them.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Bob. Sixty years, that is awesome.
Thank you Mike. I'm not sure how it happened.
Happy anniversary!
Thanks Uncle Willie!
Happy Anniversary!
Thank you Lou!
Happy 60th Anniversary to the Heine’s.
Liane deserves a special call-out!
Scott, in everything else she's a very smart lady. Stray animals are her weakness.
Happy Anni to the two of you. You are a blessed man.
Kirk, I completely agree!
Congrats Bob, a very fine achievement of which you can be very proud.
Geoff, I am pleasantly surprised every day she stays with me.
Congratulations Bob. That's a significant milestone......

Did you marry Lianne when she was 12?

Have a great buffet. :beer::thumbup:🍾

Lyndon
Thank you Lyndon, it's the other way around. She snatched me from the cradle. She was already 18 -- I was 17 (she's 9 months older to the day).

Best buffet I've ever been to (https://ichiyamisushi.com/gallery). Only the Yum Cha (Dim Sum) restaurants in Sydney come lose. All-you-can-eat oriental food for a fixed price is tough to beat. The buffet had Sushi, Sashimi, raw and steamed seafood, a whole section for Chinese dishes, a Korean barbeque, a salad bar and enough desserts to trigger an insulin reaction. This is the Sushi bar:

Happy Anniversary
Liane and Bob
Thank you Jim!
Wow, congrats and Happy Anniversary!!!

My wife and I will hit 30 later this year. You give me hope!
Thank you Mark! Not positive how I did it but I did learn to end each argument with: "Honey, you're right. It's all my fault and I'll never do it again."
Happy Anniversary Bob!
Thanks TJ!
Happy Anniversary!!!!

I am catching up. Only 28 more to go!!!
Pat, you will be as surprised as me when those years slip away.
60 yrs is very special. Congratulations to you both and may you have many more.
Stewart, I don't think anybody in my family made it to this milestone. My grandparents made it to 57.
Wow Bob, that’s pretty dang cool. Amazing how things work out when someone completes your soul!
@Mr.zippy, thank you. More than a few have asked how we stay together when we're so different. I think "completes your soul" is a good answer.
Happy 60th anniversary to you and Lianne!
Thank you Jon!
Liane and Bob ........Happy Anniversary and hope for plenty more happy and Healthy more...
Chris, the longer we're together, the less we fight. Might be a sign of weakness or failing health.... :dunno:
Happy Anniversary, Liane and Bob
Thank you @bugnut!
60 years of marriage, Not a common thing in today's society! Congratulation!
Cody, thank you and you're right. I think you have to start young to make it to this milestone but apparently the success rate for teenage marriages is not very high. Of course these days teenage marriages get their own TV shows -- that always goes well.
Happy Anniversary!!!
Thank you Vladimir. So good to see you're still able to post.
Way to go you two. A wonderful accomplishment!
Thank you Alan!
Happy anniversary Bob!! Amazing!!

Dan, thank you and you're absolutely right. I'm as amazed as anyone.
Wow, congratulations to you both. 🎉🎉

Just 50yrs 6mths to go to catch you up, we were late starters. 🤣
All the best from us all.
Steve, thank you so much. It's not how long you stay together, it's how happy being together makes you. Give my best to both your better halves.
Happy 60th plus a day! She's a lucky gal.
Russel, thank you but don't say that lucky gal thing so loud!
Bit late.….

But congratulations on the anniversary.
Rian, it was the 21,915th day of our marriage yesterday so you're still damn close! Not that I'm counting....:bitchslap

Gil, thank you and I feel a little guilty/greedy for making it to this point. My parents were married 28 years when my father died. My mother lived another 40 years without him. She kept busy and focused on the best memories of him. I'm in that weird place where I have to stay alive because Liane will kill me if I die first. I don't even know how that works but it does keep me up at night every once in a while.

Drives, thank you and I have to agree it's amazing to be married this long.

The buffet was wonderful but my 30-something grandson and his younger brothers reminded me of how much food I used to be able to eat. Pretty sure I saw the buffet manager in a corner with tears running down his face.

I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you and your bride are re-visiting the good times with Chad. I also hope her appendix is behaving.

5 dozen roses, one rose for every year, is a very inexpensive way to demonstrate your affection. Keep up the good work.
