looks like I'm in the "right" place - my 371 will be needing some new clutches and other work - 1st is getting the gas to the engine, either by stopping the tank from leaking, replacing it or using another tank as a sub
any chance of getting the part numbers for rebuilding the clutches and bearings? would like to save the time of searching for them at the local dealer shop - very helpful, but too many other guys coming in with "real" work for them
thanks

Just did an engine swap on my 371. Used a harbor freight 22hp predator motor. Moved the fuel tank up above, filled old fuel tank cavity w concrete for more counter weight. Eliminated the 1/2 speed pilot set up and went w a single speed in the middle of the two.

Great project! I’ve been watching Craigslist and Marketplace for a “mechanic special” myself but haven’t found one cheap enough. Good luck.

We have a little BC 443A and it still going strong with only 700 hrs.

your hydraulic motor is making a lot of noise or if its vibrating, that can mean your bearings are worn out. Worn out bearings can lead to serious damage inside your hydraulic motor, and costly to have rebuilt and replaced.

As for manuals, check on line and there are a lot available. Also check with BC, as I was able to get a complete new set from them.

Oh and finally, the main reason I went with a machine this size...

Bobcat371FinishTuckedIn.jpg

All tucked in the side of the garage with both vehicles in as well! Thanks again everyone.
No need to explain the reasoning for a small machine to me, #ell a broken small powered shovel/scoop will beat the living $#!+ out of this: [See Below]
Even if you con someone else into using it for you! Now you are their liquid refreshment B!+ch and now you owe them a favour, those always ****!

Hi, a very nice project.
I live in sweden and I have a 371 too.
I like to change the hydraulic hoses,
but I could not find out the dimension of them.
Can you help me?
Best regards Heiko

I'd like a skidsteer but our place is so slopey, probably not many places I could go with it, and those that I could would a clenching exercise.
