Www.tractorbynet.com for all your equipment needs. Never having owned before it was incredibly helpful to me. The Bobcat CUT is made by Kioti. My place is only 1.5 acres and I ended up buying a Kubota BX2660 w/FEL, 60" MMM, woods 48" Bush Bull rear mower, 42" tiller. I'm soon going to get a box blade. I chose to not get the backhoe model. One expensive implement that. Of course I regret it almost daily, but I can hire a pro BH for relatively short money.

I guess I would recommend hiring out the original heavy work and getting the equipment that is going to do the every day work you need. I've found the BX to be a great and very capable piece of equipment. For 5 ac, I'd go up to a B series, not so much for power but for ground clearance. I strongly considered the Mahindra and the Kioti, but being a first time tractor owner went with the local (3mi) Kubota dealer. They have been excellent in all regards. The others were 100 mi away. Kubota and the others are offering zero% financing still.

I would not want a back hoe that attached to the 3PH. I think, for durability purposes you want a sub-frame mount there. Buying this type equip. Is daunting, but my BX has been a tremendous help around the place. I have no complaints with it, but on man do I get trade-up fever:thumbup:

For the price of a used JD with any attachments, the price of it would equate out to about two good used skidsteers in my area. And any attachment that goes on green, you pay a premium price. An backhoe attachment would cost you twice as much used for a JD than it would a skidsteer used.

Just saying :bounce:

Mine is a 2004 JD4310 34 HP i gave $11K a year ago only had 350 hrs and picked up the used JD back hoe attachment for 2k i researched for 6 months before i bought. Kubota was the one that was overpriced all the name brand tractors are all really close in price and features and capability when you match them by HP rating. I thought a skid steer was what i wanted till i found out the attachments were at least 2-3 times what it would cost for a tractor, and if i had to do it over id get a tractor again....

Location makes all the difference in the world. We are in JD Country here in Ohio. I can get a used 763 or 783 skidsteer for around $7500+. You can picl up a backhoe attachment for around $3500. For a newer JD just double those prices. For something like a used 855 JD, 1987 model, with a belly mower, you are looking at $9-$10,000 price range.

Need to get a truck and trailer. You but the JD's, I'll buy the skidsteers and meet you halfway for a swap. It might make for a lucrative business. :lol_hitti

But again, location makes all the difference in the pricing. And seeing that the OP doesn't list his location......
