Where can I find body saw blades? I need to trim some factory plastic moldings on my truck. Tonight I bought a HF corded body saw and it looks promising but do not know where to allocate the blades as I have never used one. Is this something Lowes would carry or ACE? Thanks as always for the help!

I don't own a body saw, but I googled a picture, and most look like trimmed down hacksaw blades. If you have a hacksaw you might want to try inserting the hacksaw blade into the blade holder on your body saw and see if it fits. If it does fit cutting down hacksaw blades from Lennox or Starrett would probably give you better blades.

HF has them in their air tools section but they call them something else and they are white.

I bought them from Advance Auto. I don't know if they stock them anymore. I do know they can get them. If I had to get some the same day I would try an auto body supply house like Bumper to Bumper.

Thanks guys. Not a very common tool as I have found out but it's a great little too to have.

I have the IR pneumatic body saw and I agree, finding blades is a pain (HD only stocks bits/blades for the tools they stock). While there are things at HF I am willing to buy, I'm not sure blades and grinding wheels fit that category.

I think I usually end up buying them online. Search for IR blades. They have them in 5 packs, I think, in 3 different Teeth Per Inch.

Someone here on GJ turned me onto Sterling blades for this saw (don't remember who, but THANKS) and was kind enough to send me a couple to try. I like them and they are a decent price (in bulk) from here:

Since I clearly have the saw, I don't mind buying in bulk, but have not yet.

I have this saw and use the HF white blades that were mentioned above. I found them by the air tools as mentioned. I have cut 18 gauge with it. Blades will last if you don't push the saw to fast and I use cutting oil on blades as well. It will cut through 22-24 gauge like butter if you are working on a newer flimsy car. Here is a link to the HF blades
