The news said that area is SW Va is expecting another round of snow in the next few days extending west to Tenn among other places. Good luck to those people in that area.

The news said there were large numbers of the population had no water also. Not sure of that cause.

They were working on getting the cars out today . The buildings held the weight of the snow until the snow turned to rain . The buildings are located in South West part of Virginia 30 miles from the Kentucky state line and 45 miles from the Tennessee state line . We have had in excess of 30" of snow before with out building damage but adding the rain was to much for some buildings.
I just finished a 40x50x16 garage last month , the snow slid off the roof and pileup up 5 foot high in front of the garage doors .

You must live in a desert. Snow removal from roofs is a big business. seems gimmicky until you see pictures like that doesn't it. Are you saying your building could withstand almost a half million extra pounds?

I live in minnesota and yes I understand how heavy snow can get. One foot of snow is approximately 20 pounds a square foot if it is heavy wet snow. I have had approximately 100,000 pounds on my roof last year (3000 square feet). Starting shoveling after that. I feel bad for the op. It was a poor response on my part.
