Bodymen. Best dent puller ?

Looking to get a dent-all purpose puller. I just broke some piece of junk trying to pop a pilot bushing out.The hook broke off.
What's the best ?

Proto makes some nice slide hammers, I have one set up for pull dowels at work. Search Amazon for slide hammers lots of options.

I have 2 pullers. One is the one that came with my stud gun when I bought it. The other is probably some cheapie that was given to me years ago, don't really know too much about it as I don't think I've ever used it lol.

Body guy here for 24 yrs. Morgan Knocker is one of the toughest ever. You can even buy some 1" threaded iron pipe and weld custom pulling attachments to them for all sorts of uses. Not on here a bunch,...but saw this and figured I would offer my 2 cents/opinion.
Working with inferior tools is a drag, I have been there and done that. I save to buy the best,........it is worth it in the long run.

I have both the Morgan and Slugger set. Only issue is pinching part of your finger between the slide hammer and the handle stop.

Morgan Knocker here too off the Mac truck. He had an adapter for the thread size inside Vice grip pliers and that has been handy as hell. You will only pinch/crush your finger once. And it usually happens when you're carrying it rather than using it. The MK might be a bit big for pilot bearings. I'd buy quality attachments that fit a cheaper hammer rather than buy full tilt off Snappy.

I usually get pilot bearings out by stuffing the recess full of water soaked paper towels, then driving a bar the same diameter as the pilot into it. I just use my cut off mainshaft alignment tool. 3 or 4 good swats with a big hammer, and it pops right out.

Morgan Knokker it the best. And, yes, you only pinch your finger once. And it was 35 years ago!

Use a wooden dowel that's a snug fit in the bush.... fill cavity of bush with peanut butter and hit the dowel in with a BFH.
WORKS LIKE A CHARM.

I have a morgan knokker and it's a great tool.

I usually take a grease gun and pump into cavity and it pushes it out. My grease gun end is usually about the same diameter as a pilot. If not I give it a couple squirts and use something piloted the same dia and drive it in.

The other hydrualic style ideas using peanut butter and water trick are great also.
