"Ran across" as in found the photo of the set from somewhere on the Internet, as in acquired the set from somewhere on the Internet, or you acquired it somewhere else?Ran across this 7/16 hex drive set labeled Bog Jumbo socket set
If so, that's fairly unique, I think. Off the top of my head, I can't think of another Mfgr that was putting a composite knob on automotive type speed wrenches in that era. Something worth thinking about/researching further anyway. Might just be a blind spot I have. But I don't think so.Had some scratches looked like maybe bakelite.
Here is another bog set I purloined off of ebay. Not really a bog collector but somehow I always find their stuff appealing. I also find them interesting due to their eventual acquisition by plomb.

I will have to check the drive size but similar to 3/8". Missing the 9/16. All the tools are in insane condition.Nice snag, Roy! I never see Bog at the flea markets out here on the Jersey Shore either. Ironically, I have one (1) Bog socket. Unfortunately, it's a fairly big one if I recall, and I think it might be 1/2-inch square drive. Looks like your set is 7/16-inch hex drive. What size are you missing?
Looking at Otg's set and your set, one neat thing I like that they did was NOT the paint the box. I admire that all-steel industrial look - and it's easier to restore for us collectors 80+ years later. [emoji38]
Noted. That set is going to look so good cleaned up. All naked steel, including the box!Missing the 9/16.

Looking for the following Plomb Pebbles Wrenches 3732, 3032, 3055, 3060, 3061, 3062, 3070
I actually had the same thing. I have a spare 1/2 as well.Dany Roy, thought I had it. There was one loner Bog hex drive socket in my Bog drawer but it is 1/2"
