Bogus 20% off Harbor Freight coupon?

I was HF today and tried to use this coupon...

I found it and copied it from a thread here several months ago.

They gave me the 20% off...$8 item...but told me it was a bogus coupon.

The HF store I go to is in Lilburn, GA. Notice there is no expiration date.

Anyone else use this coupon before successfully?

That doesn't look like any HF coupon I have ever seen. Are you on their email list? They will send one out to you every Thursday once you join.

The real ones are emailed to you and have dates on them. I usually get 1 per week. I had 1 that was 20% off everything purchased. I liked that one!

You can use these coupons on top of sales prices, right? So if a tool chest is on sale for $350 and you throw a 20% off coupon down, that works?

BTW, did they say how it was bogus? I mean, the implication is its just home made?

Yup, I used this same one about a month ago. HF mgr said he never saw one like this before but he still have me 20% off.

Bull,

You can use the coupon on top of a listed sale price in the store. You can not use a sale coupon sent to you and then the 20% off in addition to that coupon.

I have be seeing Harbor Freight ads with 20% off coupons in several magazines the I subscribe to. For example Car and Drive has an ad this month.
