Boice Crane made top quality drills, always impressive when a member wants to buy a good machine. JMO but as a buyer I'd want to be into one ~$700 with the intention that if I ever resell it would be ~$1k cleaned up and painted nicely. Depending on where you're looking to buy dont be surprised to see telephone number pricing, especially on craigs or ebay.

Hey, very much like a common machine in Sweden, ARBOGA.
Very vesatile.
An X/Y table will make it more so.
If you find one with a drilled thru quill so you can lock the chuck to the taper, light milling possible.
Some have a thread on the spindle nose so that you can use a collet system for precision drilling and also milling.

The Boice looks real nice to me.

Thanks guys. It's a 3 ph unit, but thats fine. My Delta Unisaw is also 3 ph and I run it off a VFD. I need to go check it out and see if its as good as described.

Ok- I finally picked up the Boice Crane/Arboga drill press this past Saturday. I've got it connected to my VFD and it runs great. It was no picnic getting this down 5 stairs into my basement solo, but I managed to get it done. It's amazing how heavy this press is, even when completely torn down.
