Hi guys, I'm looking for some boiler control options and opinions.
I'm looking to control 2 zones, each zone is 4 250' loops.
The boiler I'm considering is the nti zmax . For heating and DHW.
I'm using upnor ss manifolds.

I'm not sure if I should use a controler and actuators or
Pumps and relays for each zone.

Any advice?
Also looking for pump size advice.

Here is a link to the boiler,

Thanks
Mike

My business building has 4 radiant zones, five air handlers. One pump for the radiant, and four zone valves. The air handlers have one circ pump to their loop...but each unit in turn has it's own internal pump.

One circ pump, two zone valves and two stats sounds pretty similar to me :)

Depends on how much flow you need. The new variable speed pumps are great, thats what i have in my house with acouple full port zone valves.

Pumps are energy hogs. Go zone valves and a single pump. If you can, spring for the pressure controlled pump.

I went with a taco zone control.

This was about 10 years ago. No issues. I did have to replace one of my 3 zone pumps one time, and now make sure I always have a spare (also keep a spare igniter).

I went through Desco Energy (online) and they did all the sizing as part of their quote.
