Hello! If you're installing a new boiler and looking to save on parts, you'll need this part. I bought it for my garage mahal boiler system and never installed it. The system needs make-up water (maybe) once per year so rather than running permanent plumbing, I just use a hose.
My loss is your gain. Paid over $120 for it and it is NEW. All fittings new in the box also.
