So I have hot water baseboard heat in my house and love it. However the zone valves are getting old, the motors are leaking oil, and the lines are getting hard to purge properly. I am looking to replace the zone valves, drain valves, and the air vent to hopefully help the whole system out this winter. I was hoping some of you guys might be able to post pics or schematics of boiler piping so I can see if I should change my plumbing around to be more effiecent. This seems weird to me to be asking, but I am wondering If should add a drain valve or a bleeder valve anywhere to help the system, or help me keep air out of the lines. I just figured sense I was cutting the system up I might as well make any needed changes now. Thanks for any help!
