Possibly looking to buy some bolt bins. Found a guy selling 2 fastenal blue 40 slot bins pretty good condition. He is asking 140 for both of them. Is that a fair price? Though about making some wood ones but saw these? Thanks Brad.

I believe those are manufactured by Durham, are they 8" or 12" deep? If they are 12" and in good shape it's not a bad deal considering they retail between $150 and $200 each. 8" can be had for $75 each.

I bought a steel framed unit with 12" shelves and plastic pull out bins for my fastener collection, and it's worked out very well. You may wish to secure it to a wall for any seismic activity.

I think bins for fasteners and other small parts that the average guy keeps around are worth their weight in tools, in order to keep track of what you have and where it is.

I drool every time that I pass the wall of hardware bins in HD and Lowes. ...both the open ones for bolts, screws, nuts, etc, AND to wooden bids with the square wood door on front that they sell the hinges, knobs and handles from.

I'd give my left "you know what" ( since I don't get to use it much any more ) if I could be in one of those stores on the day that they pull those shelves out, and be able to grab a couple. The problem is, I'll bet there are more people in line for them, than there are in line for a date with Pam Anderson.

I tried for some Radio shack cabinets when I learned they were closing. I went to 11 different Radio Shacks, every one had a sticker "HOLD for Greg." I should have been an hour ahead of Greg.
