Hi All!!

Looking for a replacement set of these screw extractors. In fact, broke one trying to remove a rusted bolt.

Would like a quality set, if that exists. COO isnt really important but USA is always preferred.

Thanks for any and all suggestions!!!

You like them? :headscrat:

I have some thing somewhat similar, a 7 piece set of one piece drill bit/spiral bolt extractors in metric (3) and SAE (4) sizes (also Craftsman branded like those in the Ebay link)

I never use what's left of them anymore all it did was to break off the two smaller ones 1/4" and 5/16" and individual replacements were outrageous if I remember right. They have just sat in my metal working drawer since I have better luck with the straight flute Hanson extractors for my needs

Save your money. I have a set. They are garanteed for life. I have exercised that option. If you mail the broken one to them, they will send you a replacement. This is as good a time as any to review the product. It is the best small broken screw extractor I have used. With your drill in reverse use the drill end of the Grabit to make a dimple of a hole, more like a countersink hole than a drill hole. Flip it around and use the extractor end to extract the broken screw. It is amazing how tightly it grabs on almost nothing.. It is actually hard to get rhe broken screw off the tool. There is a negative. The alloy that makes a good extractor apparantly does not make a good drill bit. They seem to dull rather easily. I resharpebed one and exchanged one that was too far gone. My solution has been to not use the drill end. I measured the sizes of the bits in the set and drill my starter holes with regular twist drills. Going CW instead of CCW makes little difference and left hand bits are available if you have the need. A broken off or stripped head, rusted in screw is rarely loose enough to go deeper when drilling CW. Other extractors don't even come with a built in drill so it is no big deal in return for great screw extraction. I have pulled out stripped head, rusted in solid sheet metal screws with ease. I think Lowes carried them and I have seen what looks to be identical, under other brand names. They make larger sizes and I think some are double extractor or no drill end. I haven't looked at them for a while.
