I know they're metric and I know the side cab comes with it, if the HF site shows the 'instruction manual' for the 7 drawer it will probably be specified.

However.

my experience with them is the threaded rivet inserts can't take much (any) torque and will spin. Best to drill through the back if yours have backs and just go through where you can washer and lock washer both sides if you choose, and give the proper torque to hold things together. I have two boxes held together by a 7 drawer and using the threaded inserts they would not be close to as sturdy as with the through bolts. I can't remember what I used but I assume 1/4-20's as every bolt I have turns out to be that.
