I just scored these from a local tip :bounce:- they are auger buckets. talked about these to a GJ guy before.
They bolt onto a conveyer and carry grain on a vertical conveyer to stack it in piles or to machines. My plan is to bolt or weld them to a stand and make up a set of nut/bolt bins. They are 13 from side to side 5 front to back and 8 deep with a curved base- they are an odd shape but should serve well for free. I'll have to clean the surface rust off and paint them. I almost didn't see them- i went past the tip on sunset, I grabbed some car valve covers to swap. then saw a big 3ft wide industrial fan unit from the local grain centre (which i picked up) and then i saw these buckets scattered through the pile, I got about 30 or more- i think i did well with it being dark, my headlights on the pushed up pile scrambling around in the shadows in flip flops with good clothes on.
Anyone else have somthing odd for bolt storage- i also have biscut tins full of bolts.
I'll post some pics when i get them set up.
