Bondhus torx/star socket and t-handle compared to others

Looking into getting a set of torx/star bit sockets.
Have a set of lisle torx bit sockets, but not happy with them, and a few are missing.

My question. How does this "protanium" that bonhus use compare to other companies, such as craftmans and maybe snap on and matco, would be looking for a used set of snap on and matco, as new are too expensive for me.

If going with a set of bondhus, there is a choice of bits and bits with sockets. My understanding is that its much easier when each bit already has a socket attached to it.

I have heard many good things about the t-handles made by bondhus, so will probably be getting a set of them.

Would love to hear some feedback from any of you guys that have experience with these products from bondhus.

I have a set of Bondhus hex t-handles and would highly recommend them so I can't think their Torx would be any worse.

Just came across this thread and am really interested in some first hand experience on these sockets as well. To my understanding Bondhaus was the best as far as Torx/Hex L-keys we're concerned.

They also claim the bits are impact rated which is always good considering the size goes up to T-60. They do not however address if the socket they come in is impact rated, my guess is no as they appear to be chrome. I wonder who they are getting the sockets from and if the quality is as high as I suspect the bits are?

Might just end up picking up a set from sears or amazon...

My L key pack is one of the most often pulled tools in my box. They've held up beautifully, outlasted their plastic holder, even. If I could ever actually find anything other than t-handles and l-keys, I'd gladly support Bondhus. It's worth a shot!

bondhus are very good T handles and L keys.

With the bit socket, I prefer the type that are mounted to the socket already. I have use bit that are removable that fits on hex socket. But they do not sit exact, there is always to much play. But if you are looking for a low cost solutions. The bondhus makes good bits.

I would hope that the versions that come with their own sockets would have little to no play. Taking the bit and putting it into an off the shelf socket, from any one of tens of manufactures, with an unknown amount of wear in the socket- well that's another story.

Either way I found an internal 'sales' video from Bondhus, video tends to make them look like they fit pretty snug seeing as to how you have to use a hammer to insert and remove them.

I had the lisle torx sockets as well...really didn't impress me at much. I know it sounds crazy, but if you have a Harbor Freight nearby they are fairly cheap and much nicer than my Lisle stuff. I have the HF Torx and Hex socket bits, S2 tool steel and they get used a lot with no perceptible wear so far. If you want USA tools than they are out, but don't discount them...
