Bonney 1/4 inch set

Hi , can anyone help me with what belongs in this set to complete it and approximate year(s) made ? Their were some ignition tools in it also , was it an ignition set ?

That decal looks old - like 40's. I think there's a 1947 catalog on-line for you to check.

It looks like this one in the 1947 catalog, but my actual box measurements are 6 3/4 x 4

The box isn't older than 1946. They were black to WWII, crackle tan during WWII, and red some time after 1946, despite the 1947 catalog not describing the color or finish. They were definitely red by 1951, but the logo was different.

As for the contents, it is probably a No. V52 set. That box was always a little bigger to accommodate the extra pieces (ignition wrenches and an ignition screwdriver) than the smaller No. V50 and V51 sets. The feeler gauge and the DBE wrenches are not original to that set and did not come in that box from the factory. Those and other pieces (soft-faced hammers, tweezers, mechanical fingers, punches, file, additional screwdrivers, and pliers) came in their largest midget set, the No. V55.
