I was at the usual flea market today and came across this SK box for $5. Inside, I found this 1/4 inch Bonney set also marked MTSO. I've never come across Bonney tools with this kind of finish. Can anyone shed some light on this little set?

Thanks.

I believe the MTSO is a Master Service Technician award given away by companies like Chrysler for recognition of achievement and/or retirement. Bonney made alot of these tools, and they were typically gold plated.

Probably 70's vintage - I doubt Chrysler still did this much into the 80's with their bailout and all. But I could be wrong.

You do see a fair few sets on eBay with sellers usually asking a lot for them. I don't think they are particularly rare. Cool though

I forgot what year but they made a Bonney 3/8 flex head ratchet that came with a spark plug socket as a Chrysler MTSC award. I want one but I'm not willing to pay through the nose, all that I've seen are pricy

I just recently snagged a 3/8" Bonney flex ratchet. Not gold-plated, but still glad to have it. They are not easy to find.

That's really cool. I have a set of gold plated MAC wrenches from the 80s. No particular value but they're cool too and came in a nice display case.
