I picked this up today at the flea market and I have never seen a Bonney branded vise before. It is made in the USA by Lehigh Vise for Bonney it appears. Just looking on ebay at old advertisements it appears to be made at or around the turn of the century. Does anyone here have one of these or has anyone seen one before? It is missing the little cross pin that keeps the threaded section from coming out of the vise but I think I can make that or leave it up to however ends up with this little vise to do as I have no need for it.

Cool vise! how small is it? Looks small, but without a UMD...
This should help to show the size of the vise. The jaws are about 2 3/4" wide. I need to see if I can find some steel stock to grind a piece to stop the threaded insert inside so it will work properly.

No one else has one of these vises? I would really like to see what the piece I am missing looks like before I try to make one.

You talking about the screw that clamps it to a bench? I would assume it needs the same type of cup/pad as a common C clamp. There available somewhere, but can't remember where.
HTH, Jim

Found some here http://www.mcmaster.com/?m=true#clamp-pads/=l5hz8c scroll down, might be too big, have to measure your screw.
No I am talking about a piece that is machined to go inside the channel in the pictures. There is a threaded piece that slides up and down that channel but needs something to stop it at some point so the jaw doesn't screw out of the vise.
