Here's my collection, if any one has a spare 14mm 6 point metric Bonney or similar Matco long, I'd be interest in buying or trading.

I'm not sure I have a lot of spares in the Bonney wrenches, the "spares" make up complete sets and fill in the smaller wrenches when I move them to racks. But let me now what sizes you need (long or regular, 6 or 12) and I'll let you know what I have after I'm done going through everything, might be a little while, I'm stuck home for two weeks and I'm doing a major tool clean up and thinning the heard. I also know a guy that sells them at a local flea market and might be able to pick some up.

It's quite a mess and I'm just getting started (see pic), still have another trailer load.

I assume you're selling some? I sold a large Bonney adjustable and ratchet not too long ago, I "collect" and use just the Bonney wrenches, as far as needle nose I've got too many and I just found a box of NOS Channellock brand that are new. But thanks for the offer (if it was an offer).

Possibly, first I'm going to try trading with a used tool dealer I know for stuff I need to complete sets (missing a lot of 14mm 6 point stuff) and a lot of the stuff I'm getting rid of is new old Craftsman (I bought a tool box full and exchanged the contents for new stuff at sears) that probably wouldn't be of much interest to folks here. I do have some vintage stuff that I might part with, not sure until I get through everything.

i think we are all used tool dealers. you may also be surprised what people may want if you are willing to trade or sell. that box of nos channelock stuff looks very interesting and saw many more totes like it in the pic. people perk thier ears at nos craftsman too.

I'll let you guys know as I move a long, I've got one bin done so far, didn't know that some of those handles were blue (those are some of my keepers, I wish I'd taken a before picture of the 24" Ridgid (it made the ones below look new), a good cleaning and a coat of paint works wonders):

What color paint did you use for that? I've got some pipe wrenches that need to painting too.

Rust-oleum Safety Red 7564, it's not a match (I don't think) but it was 25 cents a can at a local garage sale so I'm going to have a lot of safety red tools. I painted a lot of my bare steel chisels with it (not on the business ends).

I heat the wrenches up with a heat gun before painting them and then again after and put on several coats, seems to hold up really well. I started doing that 25 years ago for the inside of 3" cast air-line water separators, it made all the difference in the world and really cut back on the maintenance time. We were pulling them apart monthly because of rust to clean them up, beforehand.


For the pry bar and similar stuff I've been using that spray on plastic stuff like the tool handle dip, we'll see in time how it holds up.
