not sure if any of you guys keep automotive books in your tool box, but i have quite a few. working on cars for a living i have developed arsenal of brake measurement, battery fitment, tpms, filter sizes, catalogs, and my personal diag colections.
the only issue is keeping them in a good spot in my box. at the moment i have been storing them in the top compartment of my krl1203 (under the lid)
but i recently put them into my bottom drawer of the krl7023. i would like to keep them organized better and all together, but easy to get to.
what are you guys doing about your books? i wish i had a book case, and it ***** you cant use an overhead cabinet on a top chest with the fold up lid

This would be an expensive book shelf but maybe you could think about finding a side locker to stick on that rig you got. Maybe someone on CL has something around you or even get a hold of any of the local SO reps and see if they have any repos. Those KRL side lockers are pricey though wherever you find one...

I still keep all my old factory service manuals as well as my Motor, Chilton's and Mitchell manuals on a couple of shelves near the work benches. I just used Gorilla shelves as the manuals are pretty heavy and I had issues with the them pulling the single shelves off the wall.

I like to have the old paper manuals on hand rather than digital copies and since I never know what year or make of old car I'll buy next I've keep all my manuals going back as far as the fifties and sixties.

I would recommend some type of shelving as I just can see using up tool box space for manuals. As it is, I've got a lot of specialized tools sitting in cabinets so for me tool box space is pretty valuable despite a double bank roll cab, two top chests and a tool cart.

i would like to get a locker, thats actually next on the list, rite after i pay off the rest of the 1203 (just got it 8 months ago). only issue is space in my bay. currently i can just fit a locker, but the air valve for the inground lift will be a few inches behind the locker.....we dont have much room in a 4 bay shop, and i wish i could have my own shelves to keep them on and keep people paws off.
