Has anyone ever installed one of those booster fans in your duct work to increase air flow?Just looking to see how noisy they are.I have a pellet stove in my basement and want to run a fan in one of the register lines to bring some heat upstairs.

I have 2 of them on duct lines to a Florida room to continually circulate air and put in a switch with an indicator light so I know that they are on because they are so quiet.

Most of the noise will be from the sheet metal vibrating.
Good gaskets (foam) and maybe some adhesive weights

Duct noise from vibration is good place use damping material found in car stereo applications. I personally use second skin products but other comparable products exist. I used it on the gas pack outside my daughter's bedroom because of noise transmission bothering her at night. A few small pieces placed on flat surfaces and the blower fan housing made a dramatic difference. The more you use the quieter it becomes. Of course, you need to eliminate any loose brackets/joints for it to be really effective.
