Hey guys!

Once in a while I find myself in a situation where I would do anything to have one of these tools on the job, but sadly that is not the case. So now I'm in the market of getting me one that can help me in a tight situation that I do encounter once in a while. Any recommendations? The only thing to keep in mind I would prefer it to be a stand-alone unit and not cost more that $500.
So who uses what?

What do you need it for? How much resolution? How small of diameter?

If your requirements are modest, you can buy an endoscope for less than $20 that plugs into your late model Android cell phone. I bought this one off Amazon, and it works fine:

Perhaps it would be better to to provide a few details on the on job situation of the how, when, why, giving those people that might respond to your post a better chance to filter out all the non applicable answers you are not looking for.

It removes much of the the need for all those time consuming back and forward, question and answer posts.
You will find more people will want to answer your inquiry if you give them something better than "in a tight situation"

I hope this helps you define your question.

What are you looking for? a borescope is a fixed shaft camera, general inspection camera with a flexible neck, drain pipe inspection camera, want it to have pan and tilt?

I have a basic inspection camera that fills my needs.
Ridgid micro CA-25 Picked it up for $25 at a pawn shop missing the mirror, hook and magnet accessories tho.

Here is a few pics of mine, placed it in my mini lathe spindle bore and are seeing the jaws.

Ive been looking for one like the BK8000 that can view 90 degrees as well as straight ahead. Do you know of any other models that do this?

The nice thing about the snap-on scopes is the dual imager. I would hate to be deep into an engine or intake manifold and have the clip on 90 deg mirror fall off

I got one of those for Christmas, a BlueFire brand. It doesn't work at all with my Galaxy S5 (though it should), the instructions are just 1 page, the seller is of no help, and returning a gift on amazon is just a pain without asking for an order number.
